ABOUT US

Our Mission:

For many years, I believed I wasn’t talented. I thought I couldn’t create anything of real value that people would truly enjoy. Now I understand: you don’t need to be 'talented' to make something meaningful.

All it takes is a spark of creativity and a little self-confidence.

I believe that confidence and creative thinking should be nurtured early and practiced daily - use it or lose it, as they say. Creativity isn’t just about arts and crafts. It’s problem-solving in every area of life. But it all starts with the belief that you can do it. Without that belief, you won’t even try, and you might miss out on amazing opportunities.

My own journey to self-confidence began with something small: deciding to grow my hair longer, despite fearing people would laugh or that it wouldn’t suit me. That simple act strengthened my confidence muscle and encouraged me to try more new things. Over time, I learned more about myself and began making better, more intentional decisions. My only regret is that I discovered this so late in life.

This is why I promote a creative, collaborative approach to life through my work. My mission is to start that snowball effect in you and your child - starting small, building belief one experience at a time, and letting that confidence compound.

Today, you and your little one create a doodle, your own t-shirt design. Tomorrow, that doodle might inspire self-belief and the courage to try something new.

Together, we create not only a unique, personalized piece of clothing, but also a lasting memory. It’s a chance for your child to see the value of their abilities, and the power of working with the right people to bring ideas to life.

And here’s the best part: you don’t need any special skills. For some reason, simple hand-drawn designs always look great on a T-shirt! Plus, wearing something you created yourself further exercises your confidence muscle.

Sometimes, it takes small steps at the beginning to build enough courage, take further action and create something bigger.

Our Story:

We are a family-run, sustainable clothing brand based in New Mills, UK. Previously known as Moss Peak (an outdoor-inspired brand), we’ve grown into something new—something that reflects our path, our vision + our story.

The name Cat + Heron is inspired by our family and the qualities we strive to embody. Damian, the heron, represents independence, resilience, and quiet strength. Lusia, the cat, symbolises warmth, liveliness, and playful curiosity. And then there’s the "+"—Martyna, wife and mum, who bridges it all together with love, support, and understanding.

For us, these qualities are the building blocks of a well-rounded life. We’re learning from Lusia, teaching her at the same time + growing together every day.

Our name reflects not only who we are, but who we’re becoming. The same goes for our brand. We want it to evolve—from what we jokingly call an “expensive hobby” to a slow-fashion rockstar, inspiring people and healing the throwaway industry.

Our Clothing:

At Cat + Heron, we believe your clothing should make you feel good. It's like your second skin. You experience a sense of ease and comfort in your body and your apparel should feel in a similar fashion.

Our products are designed to bring you that "happy feeling" when slipping into your favourite tee. Every graphic is hand drawn, authentic + playful. Every garment is a breeze to wear and style, giving you a confidence boost, to simply be yourself.

Your mood shapes your actions. When you feel good, you’re empowered to take on life’s challenges + work toward your dreams. We’re here to help you be the best version of yourself.

Introduce a change in yourself; introduce a change in the world.

Feel good. Do good. Together, we can make it happen.

Our Supply Chain:

A great product starts with a great supply chain. We are dedicated to ethical, sustainable practices that honour the planet and the people behind every piece of clothing.

Here’s how we do it:
• Fair pay, safe conditions, and supportive environments for all workers.
• Organic cotton farming with no fertilisers or harsh chemicals in our dyes and inks.
• Renewable energy powers our factories in India + our printhouse in the UK, reducing our carbon footprint.
• Circular design: our products are crafted from the beginning to be recycled into new items, keeping materials out of landfills and in use for years to come.
We proudly participate in industry-leading certification programs + go above and beyond to set new standards.
